Epilogue

 Daft Punk: 1993-2021

A friend of mine introduced me to Daft Punk in around 2015. He shared a link to Instant Crush and I loved it so much I looked into other music the duo had done and immediately they became my favorite music artists. I am not a music head. I don't keep up with all the latest songs and artists. I usually don't have favorites either. But Daft Punk was and still is very special to me. Many of their songs have emotional feelings attached to them with some very distinct memories.

R.A.M. was my first album purchase. Contact, Giorgio By Moroder, Instant Crush, Lose yourself to dance, Get lucky have all been a staple of my regular playlist.

Harder Better Faster Stronger, Robot Rock, One More Time, and many more all the way back to Da Funk are all master pieces and so far I have not found any other music/album that I love as much as these. Tron Legacy while a very underrated movie imo (I can write a whole article about it) has one of the most iconic soundtracks and it absolutely amplifies the visuals and aesthetics of the movie.

Today they announced that the band to coming to an end. While there have been times where bands come back together after breaking up even for a single, hoping for a goodbye album is foolish. As much as I hate it, it probably is for the best to accept the truth, cherish the stuff we have already and move on. Nothing can ever scratch the itch for more Daft Punk but I will forever be grateful for the amazing music they have made over the years and for the time I have known about them. Thank you. We are all human after all.
